The Music Center is one of the biggest performing arts center in the United States. It is located in downtown Los Angeles and consists of 4 different theatres, the plaza, and Grand Park.
The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion is the oldest theater built in 1964 (had its 50th anniversary in 2014) and is home of the LA Opera. It is not only the oldest theatre, but also the largest out of the four, seating 3,197 guests at a time. There are four levels: orchestra, founders circle, loge, and balcony.
The Center Theatre Group is made up of 3 theaters: Ahmanson Theatre, Mark Taper Forum, and Kirk Douglas Theater (not part of The Music Center, located in Culver City)
The Ahmanson Theatre was built in 1964 and was remodeled in 1995. It typically houses plays and musicals. It holds 2,000 seats and depending on how well the show is sold, can alter the number of seats. For example, if the show is sold at half-capacity a wall will be put up to block out the back seats, making the inside of the theater look more full. There is a total of three levels: orchestra, mezzanine, and balcony. The show currently playing is called An Act of God starring Sean Hayes. It is running from January 30th to March 13th of this year.
The Mark Taper Forum is a small and intimate theatre that seats about 700 people (739). This theater typically holds plays, and usually doesn’t involve a large cast. The show currently playing here is called The Mystery of Love & Sex. The show runs from February 10th to March 20th. 
The Walt Disney Concert Hall is a venue that a lot of people are familiar with here in Los Angeles. It is the newest out of the four that opened in 2003. there is a total of 2,265 seats that completely surround the stage so you can view it from any angle. It is the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The theatre typically consists of orchestral concerts, the Los Angeles Master Chorale, the California Philharmonic, and is on occasion rented out for other concerts.
The plaza of The Music Center is located in the middle of the theaters, right in front of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. This past year the color scheme changed, making the plaza more lively and colorful. For events, the tables and chairs will be removed. Sometimes there will be red carpet events held there, or other private events. For the Music Center’s 50th Anniversary a giant tent was put up for an event in celebration of the anniversary, and for the beginning of every LA Opera season the same is done..
The Peace on Earth statue, worth a quarter of a million dollars, is located in The Music Center plaza. It is an eye-catcher and a piece of history that people visit The Music Center just to see. Peace on Earth was constructed by Jacques Lipchitz between 1966 and 1969 and donated to The Music Center.

Grand Park is located right on Grand Ave, across the Street from The Music Center Plaza.
Grand Park is very spacious and can definitely fit a lot of people. On occasions events will be held here. One event that some might be familiar with is the annual New Years Eve L.A. celebration that holds live music and a countdown where 50,000 people attended to celebrate 2016.
There are a couple of these house stands called “Little Libraries” around Grand Park where someone can donate their book in exchange for another, free of charge.
